Chairing Meetings

Not everyone who finds themselves in the position of having to Chair a meeting is competent, confident or capable of doing so. An ineffective Chair can result in an ineffective and uncomfortable meeting, invariably with nothing much being achieved. Time is too precious and expensive to be wasted in ineffective meetings. We can Chair the meeting for you and we can also coach you in effective Chairing of Meetings.

There are also times when an Independent Chair is required. We are happy to do this on either a regular or an ad hoc basis.



An Independent Reviewing Officer

It is good practice to occasionally have someone Independent to Chair your Review meetings. It is an opportunity to ensure that all areas are addressed in a thorough and unbiased way.


Care Planning

Both the CQC and Ofsted regularly express concerns regarding Care Plans, noticeably:
• they are insufficiently detailed;
• staff and other relevant people are not fully aware of their content;
• they are not used as a working document.

Most people who have a Care Plan are unable or unwilling to speak up for themselves and so it is vitally important that carers comply fully with the Standards for this.

We can ensure that Care Plans are detailed, comprehensive and relevant. We can also ensure that appropriate staff are aware of their content and adhere to the Plans.

Advocacy, Investigations, Disciplinary Advice

It is important to have a detailed and comprehensive Disciplinary Policy in order to ensure that staff carry out their duties safely, effectively and in a manner which is both acceptable to the Company and meets all legal and regulatory requirements. The Policy should be there to protect everyone; employers, employees and service users.
 
If there are any causes for concern then a thorough investigation should take place prior to any Disciplinary hearing.

We can help assess or design policies, undertake investigations and provide detailed reports on our findings. We can then, if required, guide you through the disciplinary hearing and any possible future appeals.

We can facilitate meetings, Conferences, events etc.
